Illinois State Board of Education to Investigate Special Education Compliance in Dist 76

[gview file=”invitation_for_website1.pdf”]

Parents and guardians are invited to attend a public forum to be held at LaSalle School on Tuesday, April 9th from 6:00 to 7:00. This forum will be conducted by the Illinois State Board of Education. The ISBE team leader will explain the focused monitoring process about the placement decisions and provide you an opportunity to share your comments.

The purpose of focused monitoring is to investigate compliance with federal and state special education laws and regulations. This monitoring process additionally seeks to ensure that the district is following appropriate procedures in making educational placement decisions for students with disabilities. Educational placement is the location where a student with a disability receives his/her education

If you are unable to attend the forum you may contribute to this process by completing our parent survey at the following link:

  1. I am a little confused with all the crazy comments! This website was designed to bash people, whether it be Davis, board members, teachers…or whoever you are against at the moment. Now, someone is standing up to all of your bullshit and you can take it? If you can dish it out…you got to learn how to take it! I happen to find lol2012 refreshing and truthful! I am glad someone feels free to comment with their true feelings and is not afraid of the harassment that you all seem so good at. There are so many different posts on here bashing parents, board members, teachers…etc. It is about time that someone told the truth!! Keep it up lol2012…I enjoy your posts!
